Niti Aayog SDG Index 2021
NITI Aayog presented the third edition of the Indian Index and Dashboard for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2020-21. Kerala remains at the top of this SDG index, and Bihar is at the bottom of the government think tank SDG India Index.
The SDG India Index is tabled annually by NITI Aayog in order, according to social, economic and environmental parameters, to assess the progress of the States and the Union territories.
NITI Aayog developed and created the SDG India Index 2020-21, in close cooperation with the States and Territories of the Union, the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MSPI) and the UN United Nations agencies in India, as well as the main Ministries of the Union.
List 2021 Niti Aayog SGD Index
In the SDG India Index 2020-21, the progress of States and UTs is measured according to economic, social and environmental aspects.
Kerala scored as the most successful country with a score of 75, while Bihar was the weakest state with a score of 52 in the SDG India Index 2020-21 of the NITI Aayog.
SDG India Index 2020-21 evaluated 16 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at scales from 0 to 100 for States and Union Territories.
